The Cabin Life is Calling!

This is one of our 4 uniquely decorated cabins with its own little patio. They were made in the 1960’s as portable construction offices and were found by Debbie on the side of highway 71 in LaGrange, Texas. Thinking they would be a perfect fit at Green Acres, Debbie bought them and with the help of their friend Mario Garza , the interior was changed! The original bead board was pulled back, the walls insulated, the ceilings vaulted, mini splits added, including new flooring, and porches. While Debbie was busy with the other three cabins, Raymond got busy and decorated this one. Yes, Debbie did come in and correct a few things. The Queen bed has a barnwood base with a huge Texas flag made from Texas license plates as the headboard. The coffee bar is a custom cedar and the white bead board is set off with barn wood windows and door trim. The furnishings found in this cabin represent all things Texas, from the Willy Nelson album art to the Blue Dog artwork to longhorn rugs, western lamps and bedding! You are meant to walk into this cabin and say yup I’m in Texas! A Queen bed, mini fridge, coffee maker, a bottle of wine, snacks, and more await guests who come to relax and unwind in The Gus.

Green Acres In Spicewood Texas is a Christmas Wonderland!!! My work group always goes for a weekend getaway in December that includes shopping, games, food and fun. This place fit the bill and more!! Raymond was an incredible host and had everything we could possibly need- from firewood, charcoal grills ready to go, a large refrig/freezer available for use and an ice machine. The bath house was beautiful and homey with amazing showers and a comfy place to gather with thoughtful amenities throughout! We stayed in The Ambassador, the Trailette and Tiny house 4 & 4.5. The grounds were clean and well maintained with little pieces of Texas Hill Country sprinkled all around. We were able to have our whole group outside for drinks and dinner, have an amazing time, a gorgeous Texas Hill Country sunset and campfire plus enjoy beautiful holiday lights all in the same place! We also shopped in the Christmas Barn which is amazing in itself- a must see and stop by during the Christmas season!!
